Lavaroots mission is to explore & express authentic self and relationship to others through dance, music, culture, healing and education.
Lavaroots Performing Arts has been serving the North Kohala community since 2002.
Director/Founder Michál Anna Carrillo has been sharing as a teaching artist at Kohala Elementary since 2007, bringing Hip hop, Creative Movement & Lavaroots Rhythm of the Soil program ( 7 years) to our keiki. Lavaroots serves the greater community with adult classes, community events and enrichment opportunities.
Lavaroots dance company has shared many performances over the years, highlighting the work as well as bringing many different artists to the Big Island to share with our community.
