Kako’o Naʻau Oiwi was formed in April, 2026 to support afterschool and weekend programming for students engaged in the innovative, ʻāina-based alternative learning program at the Kohala School Complex. This afterschool and weekend programming was created to expand learning opportunities beyond the classroom, Kako’o Naʻau Oiwi helps provide students with meaningful experiences grounded in place, culture, and community. The dedicated team is composed of Prescott “Loa” Patao, Michelle “Hinano” Lewis and Jessica Patao.
