Kohala Food Forum
This project has been initiating the drive toward our community's ambitious food security goal of producing 50% of the food it consumes since the first Food Forum in 2009. Current projects include the North Kohala Eat Locally Grown Campaign to increase consumer demand for locally grown food, a strategic planning process to plan toward the 50% food self-sufficiency goal, and Community Harvest Hawaii - a project to harvest, process and distribute excess fruits and vegetables.
