Kamehameha Day Celebration
As the birthplace of this great King, the North Kohala community is sure to celebrate on June 11th every year. In 2011 the parade began at Kohala High School and made its way to the King's Statue in Kapa'au along Akoni Pule Highway. The celebration was enjoyed by thousands, thanks to funding support from the County of Hawaii in collaboration with numerous local organizations.
