NKCRC was recently awarded $16,000 to support current building and program improvements.
First Annual Bank of Hawaii Monty Richards Innovation in Non-Profit Award
In 2008 NKCRC received this first annual award created in conjunction with Bank of Hawaii. NKCRC was chosen amongst over 30 non-profits on the Big Island.
Daily Point of Light Award
In April of 2005, NKCRC received a Daily Point of Light Award which "honors individuals and volunteer groups that have made a commitment to connect Americans through service to help meet critical needs in their communities." Point of Light Foundation.
Citation of Appreciation
NKCRC has also received a Citation of Appreciation from County of Hawaii Mayor, Harry Kim.
